This Week

Mt. Stuart Families-

This was a great week to be a MSE Eagle! Our Parent Group brought in a company with a massive inflated earth dome so all of our kids got to learn more about the earth and then go inside it to learn there too. Thank you families for helping our Parent Group raise funds to make special activities like this happen for our kids.

We ended this week on a high note with an award assembly. Every month I think our assemblies can’t be more fun & student centered then our team delivers an even better assembly the next month! A huge shout out to Mr. Lorenz who leads our assembly committee. He also delivers the  world’s best morning announcements.

Next week is going to be unique. Monday is spirit day so please have your child wear red, white & blue in honor of our Veterans. We are hosting a Veterans Day assembly on Monday at 2:45. If you’d like to come and bring a Veteran please do! We want to honor our families and those who have served so selflessly.

Tuesday there is no school. Wednesday is a normal 2:00 dismissal day, then we are back to normal for a few days. However, conference week is right around the corner. See below for repeated information about our conference week schedule. Please take time to read the attached Conference Partnership document parent teacher conferences. We want to plan for rich conversations about student learning with the precious time set aside with you during conferences. If you haven’t scheduled yours yet with your child’s classroom teacher, please do so ASAP. Other staff members are also available this week if you want to connect with any of our other teaching staff or admin team.

Have a great weekend! With gratitude- Mrs. Singletary

Lost and Found

Our Lost and Found is overflowing with items! Please take a moment to check if your child is missing anything. If you label your child’s clothing and belongings, we are able to return them directly to your student.

Reminder: Bike & Scooter Safety

If your child rides their bike or scooter to school, please make sure they wear a properly fitted helmet every time. Helmets help keep our students safe, and we want to build good safety habits both at school and at home. Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe on their way to and from school!

Birthday Treats or Snacks for the Class

If you plan to send in birthday treats for your child's class, or snacks, please make sure they are bite-sized and meet our district wellness policy.
As outlined in District Policy 6700P:
  • all foods brought for celebrations must meet or exceed the USDA Smart Snacks in School nutrition standards.
  • The district provides healthy party ideas and non-food celebration options.
Thank you for helping us celebrate in a way that keeps all students safe and healthy.
  • We also have space available if snack items need refrigerated.
