This Week

Mt. Stuart Families-

This week was a busy one even though there were only 4 days! Our students did a wonderful job of showing respect at our Veterans Day Assembly on Monday. All month the students earn Eagle Bucks for showing SOAR (safety, ownership, adaptability, respect) at school. One week each month they count up their eagle bucks and purchase one item and one experience. Yesterday we hosted our school-wide experiences and distributed items. Make sure you check in with your child about what they chose and make sure you celebrate they earned it due to showing SOAR at school.

Ellensburg School District has been doing a Center for Educational Effectiveness survey for a few years. We are now within the window for this school year. Our students in grades 4-5 will take a student survey, our staff takes a survey and you are invited to participate in a family survey. It only takes a few minutes and our district values your input! https://ceeffectiveness.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_7U173h8qe34SYZM

We are thrilled to announce we won our second Culture Kickoff Award from the Association of Washington School Leaders (AWSL) and Association of Washington School Principals (AWSP). Schools winning this award have set the tone for a successful academic year through engaging assemblies, strong themes, and vibrant fall kickoffs. They’ve shown exceptional intentionality in planning for a positive start and have clear strategies to sustain this momentum throughout the year. The AWSL/AWSP Culture Kickoff Award emphasizes the crucial collaboration between students and adults in fostering an environment where everyone feels welcomed, valued, and inspired to thrive. Eagle Clap!!!

Safety Reminder

Please remind your child not to swing or climb on the bike racks in front of the school. These racks are for bikes only and can be unsafe to play on. Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe! 💛

Lost and Found

Our Lost and Found is overflowing with items! Please take a moment to check if your child is missing anything. If you label your child’s clothing and belongings, we are able to return them directly to your student.

Reminder: Bike & Scooter Safety

If your child rides their bike or scooter to school, please make sure they wear a properly fitted helmet every time. Helmets help keep our students safe, and we want to build good safety habits both at school and at home. Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe on their way to and from school!
