This Week

Mt. Stuart Families-

This week’s winter concerts were fantastic! A shout out to our students for working so hard learning the songs & motions. We are fortunate to have such a great music program at MSE thanks largely to Mrs. Simonson, our music teacher. We hope you were able to join us and enjoy these special winter offerings.

Next week MSE staff may be dressed a little silly. We are doing spirit days just for adults and are looking forward to seeing if the kids catch on.  The following last school week in December will be a school-wide spirit week.

Monday 12/15 Red & White
Tuesday 12/16 Green
Wednesday 12/17 Sweater
Thursday 12/18 Socks & Hats
Friday 12/19 Pajamas

Have a great weekend! With gratitude- Mrs. Singletary

Gift Ideas

If you are looking for a gift idea for grandparents or others, check out Artsonia. They will use your child's picture to make gift items. Our school receives a percentage of sales that we use to purchase art supplies.

Drop off and Pick up

To ensure a safe and smooth drop-off and pick-up experience for everyone, please make note of the following parking updates:
  • South Parking Lot: This lot is reserved for Staff Only. Please use the designated visitor or parent lots for drop-off and parking.
  • Accessible (Handicap) Parking: Please be respectful of our community members who require accessible parking. Do not park or idle in marked handicap spaces unless you have a valid permit or placard visible.
Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us keep our parking lots safe and accessible for everyone!

End of Day Change of Plans

Please Parent Square or email the office by 3:00 PM if your student has a change of plans for the end of the day. We have many activities happening during this time, and having the change in writing helps ensure we get the message to your child correctly. Thank you!

Birthday Treats or Snacks for the Class

If you plan to send in birthday treats for your child's class, or snacks, please make sure they are bite-sized and meet our district wellness policy.
As outlined in District Policy 6700P:
  • all foods brought for celebrations must meet or exceed the USDA Smart Snacks in School nutrition standards.
  • The district provides healthy party ideas and non-food celebration options.
Thank you for helping us celebrate in a way that keeps all students safe and healthy.
  • We also have space available if snack items need refrigerated.
